Maestro

Maestro is our four-legged child and he’s mad about Tjhoko too. When I get home with a Tjhoko box, his entire body quivers in anticipation, as if he can sense the excitement of the new project. He trots around with masking tape in his mouth and covers everything in paint as he investigates new colours. Keeping him out of shot when we’re doing Facebook Live sessions can be really challenging. Maestro is our mascot; he even sits in on meetings – on a chair, no less – and he thinks he’s part of our strategy sessions. His chalk paint colour is a classy, neutral olive-green shade which complements natural materials, fibres and fabrics beautifully.
